Military Press

Military Press (MP) is a very successful news magazine. It has the largest circulation of any military newspaper in California, with a sizeable audience and a direct pipeline to all branches of the military in the state—Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Air Force, Army and Reserves. This bi-monthly publication is distributed free to all members of the military, and reaches every base, all in-port Navy ships, military housing areas and VA hospitals.

With such a large circulation, MP wanted a more up-to-date look, and needed to upgrade their website and make it an extension of their print magazine. Spotya built a site around a Content Management System that has syndicated information being posted from all the major military web sites, government agencies, VA hospitals, congressional hearings, etc. It’s got everything soldiers, sailors and airmen need to know.

The site also gives Military Press a platform that enables them to sell banner space to advertisers and run a classified section on the site. This flexible site has become a valued source of information for so many in the military, and advertisers find it a great forum and an excellent means of reaching this target demographic. Since MP’s website has become so popular, the magazine’s editors have entered into a long-term relationship with Spotya Web Designs to promote the site through sponsored search campaigns, search engine optimization strategies for natural high rankings.
